Synatech can respond to a wide range of response events, from common over-the-road incidents like punctured lines and tank overflows all the way to natural disasters that can easily threaten rivers, streams and lakes, as well as roadways, facilities and public areas. Working within the guidelines of local, state, and federal agencies (OSHA, EPA, DEP, USCG, etc.), Synatech will set up containment and cleanup.

 

BROWN FIELDS CLEAN UP:

      The method involves adding a reactive form of reagent and sometimes a PH buffer (when necessary) to the metal-bearing waste. Divalent metal cations, and especially lead, arsenic, cadmium, and chromium react with the reagents to form very insoluble compounds. The chemistry is well known and is based on solubility product data that have been in the literature for decades. The process utilizes proprietary chemical formulations specifically for metal-bearing solid wastes (patent protected) and materials handling procedures based on the needs of each particular site. 

    For the owner or developer of a contaminated and/or brownfield site, the process has been shown to represent the rapid, cost effective, environmentally acceptable answer for the management of contaminated soils.

        At its simplest, the process involves mixing chemicals, reagents and binding agents, into the contaminated media in order to immobilize the contaminants within the treated material. The resulting chemical reactions and physical immobilization within the material destroys or binds the contaminants, and so removes the risks to humans, animals, and even plant receptors. The process has been approved by the EPA in the USA, and by the UK Environment Agency, and can be used to treat soils containing a wide variety of organic and inorganic contaminants.

     Our technology turns contaminated soil into a reusable product making remediation up to 50% cheaper than traditional means. Projects that lay dormant for years because they are not financially feasible to cleanup, are now viable by applying this method.
