ASBESTOS ABATEMENT

Asbestos is a strong fiber that does not burn, and therefore in the past was widely used for fireproofing and insulation. It was discovered that the small, buoyant fibers are easily inhaled or swallowed, causing a number of serious diseases including: asbestosis, (a chronic disease of the lungs that makes breathing more and more difficult); cancer; and mesothelioma. Today, use of asbestos in building materials is banned, and owners of buildings constructed before 1981 must be able to prove that their building is free of the hazardous material.

All of our technicians are AHERA trained (a rigorous program recognized by the EPA). We also meet or exceed every OSHA and EPA requirement and provide you with a full report upon completion of the project. When you retain Synatech services you retain the best in the business!

Our technicians are experts in all aspects of asbestos abatement; encapsulation, enclosure and removal.

HOMEOWNERS

Attention to Detail

Regardless of when your home was built, the risk of hazardous air quality could be a viable concern for your family. Increases in cases of sick building syndrome have led to heightened awareness and education, but there is still confusion. Below is a summary of the most common hazardous materials found in homes.

Mold
Mold not only destroys materials, it can have serious impacts on your health. Elevated levels of mold spores in the air have been shown to pose significant health risks. The National Toxicology Program has associated two mold-produced toxins (aflatoxins and ochratoxin A) with liver and kidney tumors in animals and people.

Asbestos
Asbestos has been linked to a number of serious diseases including: asbestosis, cancer and mesothelioma. If your home was built before 1981 (at which time use of asbestos was banned) you should confirm that any asbestos has been remediated.

Lead
Lead is a highly toxic metal that can cause a wide range of health problems. When taken into the body, lead toxicity impacts the nervous system and the cardiovascular system, and in some cases the reproductive systems.

REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS

Expert Service

For years brokers, real estate agents, home inspectors and others in the real estate industry have been well aware of the requirements around lead and asbestos abatement. However these days, many are taking note of the growing concerns around mold contamination of properties. If mold, asbestos or lead is identified in a property that you are representing, Synatech can provide professional remediation services that are quick and affordable. In most residential structures, remediation takes only 1-2 days. We’ll help you solve the problem quickly (and confidently) to expedite the property closing.

If you are referring clients to inspectors to test for mold or remediation companies that offer low cost solutions, you may wish to reconsider your position. Home inspectors performing mold tests may not carry insurance for any such testing or assessments. This could leave you vulnerable.

COMMERCIAL PROPERTY OWNERS

MULTI-UNIT & COMMERCIAL PROPERTY OWNERS

Multi-unit and commercial properties have special considerations for any type of maintenance or repair service. However when the issue at hand involves health risks to the occupants, property owners are faced with even more daunting considerations: liability, insurance, certification of work and more.

As many property owners in Louisiana and Mississippi found, paying a vendor to remediate a mold problem can get extremely expensive - especially when the work does not pass inspection by an environmental hygienist.

With Synatech you can rest assured that the remediation service is performed with the most leading edge technology and implemented by experienced, knowledgeable professionals. We are one of the few national remediation service companies dedicated specifically to mold, lead and asbestos remediation and abatement. Large companies and independent property owners alike trust our expertise, quality and assurance. We are board certified, licensed, bonded and insured.
